Bakels are proud to announce they have once again taken out the Best Bakery Display award at the Foodstuffs Expo 2018.
The icing on the cake was finding out they also won the Best Display Members' Choice award from the nearly 300 entries displayed at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland, New Zealand.
A great deal went into the thinking, planning, baking, stand set-up and outstanding execution of a colourful dessert showcase for the Alice in Wonderland tea party using Bakels products. Included was the Pettinice show stopping stacked teacups cake, which measured a whopping 1.5 meters tall, complete with a cute spinning dormouse inside the tipped Mad Hatter's teapot.
Lavish baking covered the 10 metre table setting, with treats such as cream donuts with berry coulis injectables, lime infused coconut cupcakes, rainbow drip cakes, toasted homemade marshmallows, mini donuts, cupcakes, slices, and did I mention cakes? Cakes! and more cakes galore!
Ribboned themed tags wrapped on vintage teapots and desserts teased viewers to "eat me!" An delicous instruction this viewer could have easily followed...
Alice in Wonderland themed dessert table took the People’s Choice “Best Stand” award, as well as the "Best Bakery Display" for the Foodstuffs Expo 2018.
The expo took place over two days. The team at Bakels dressed to impress in their Alice in Wonderland inspired costumes.
It's a dessert wonderland as Bakels showcases our product range for baking donuts to drip cakes for the Foodstuffs Expo 2018. A 1.5 metre tall Pettinice cake featuring stacked teacups and character figurines by Pettinice Ambassador Nina Blackburn complimented the scene.
Event attendees enjoyed a marvelous Mad Hatters tea party dessert wonderland!
